幸宏さんや教授が20年以上にもわたって交流が続いているJapanのメンバー達が残した作品が再発される。
一つは長年ファンが待ち望んでいた最後のツアーの模様を収録した「Oil On Canvas」と7曲のプロモビデオをカップリングしたDVD。
もう一つはリミックス盤やシングルヴァージョン、B面曲を多数収録した後期、Virgin時代のベスト盤CD。
初期のアリオラ・ハンザ時代のプロモビデオ集は既にDVD化されていたが、アーティスティックに成長したJapanの映像作品はパッケージ化されたものも長い間廃盤で、
DVD化が望まれていた。今回、イギリスのVirginから発売される。イギリス盤はリージョンコードがALLとなっているため、
普通のプレイヤーで見られるそうです。なお日本盤は5月17日発売だそうです。
